A little Canadian history

Bristol-Myers was first established in Canada in 1948, and has expanded its activities through the acquisition of Squibb & Sons in 1989 and DuPont Pharmaceuticals in 2001.

At Bristol-Myers Squibb, we believe that extending and enhancing human life starts with research. Therefore, we are proud to operate one of the leading research centers dedicated to the advancement of medicine and pharmaceutical treatments, the Pharmaceutical Research Institute located in Candiac, Québec.

But beyond the development and distribution of innovative medicines, Bristol-Myers Squibb Canada recognises that enhancement can be achieved one human life at a time. Canada has been indispensable in helping Bristol-Myers Squib live up to its pledge and in return, Bristol-Myers Squibb strives to support Canadian healthcare professionals, patients, causes and communities.
